Study Objective

Evaluate the usability of the engineering prototype to be implemented in Dynamics 365 Finance.

• Ensure the solution provides a view of the current cash position that look at invoices, orders, etc. 

• Assess whether the solution effectively creates forecast snapshots & compare forecasts (current and snapshots) 

• Gage whether users find forecasts results trustworthy  

• Assess whether the prototype UI concept, visuals, data, and logic resonate with users. Gage their understanding of the solution 

KPIs for this project have been determined as such: SUS=70, Positive WOW, CSAT= 110.

Unmoderated usability study with benchmark metrics

Persona / Participant Profile

Finance professionals who are involved in cash management and/or cashflow forecasting. The preferred job title is ‘Treasurer’.

3. Tasks - 8 different tasks with a clearly defined success criterion.

4. Emotional + Intuitive Metric after the 1st task

6. End-of-study Metrics (Experience metrics, SUS, CSAT)

Report & Impact

• No showstopper issues discovered

• Only 3 negative UX issues surfaced. Clear design recommendations provided to address these issues

• Most KPI objectives were met.

• The project was greenlit and design recommendations were implemented by engineering for the 2020 release.
